Contact us

Email support@l2ita.com. Include your device, operating system or browser version, Ntly version if available, what you tried, and the exact error message.

Please do not send passwords, recovery phrases, private notes or full backups. If a screenshot helps, hide personal information first. General and privacy inquiries go to info@l2ita.com.

Find or restore a note

Check Notes, Pinned, Archive and Recently deleted in the navigation menu. Clear any search or label filter that could hide the note. Search checks the note’s content as well as its title.

In Recently deleted, choose Restore to bring a note back. Notes remain there until you permanently delete them or empty Recently deleted. Permanently deleted notes cannot be restored through Ntly.

Local storage and saving

Notes are saved on the current device or browser, not in an l2ita account. Other devices, browsers and browser profiles have separate notes. Allow a save to finish and resolve any save error before closing the app.

Clearing browser data, using a private browsing session, deleting the app or resetting its data can remove notes. Support cannot retrieve notes from your device. Keep independent copies of important notes.

Sharing and exports

Use a note’s sharing options to share text or a text file. Shared text and files are readable by their recipients. To keep an encrypted copy, use Settings → Backup & restore → Save encrypted backup.

Import / restore backup accepts encrypted .ntly backups. Legacy JSON imports are no longer supported. Preview the backup before importing and choose how matching notes should be handled. Keep your original installation and a backup until you have checked the restored notes.

Privacy and availability

Read the Ntly privacy policy for local storage, sharing and contact details.

Ntly is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store, Android and the web.

Android installation and updates

Get the APK from the Ntly download page. The current download is version 1.0.0, build 1, and requires Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer. Open the downloaded APK and follow Android’s installation prompts.

Future Android builds will be listed on that page with their version, build number and download size. Before updating, save an encrypted .ntly backup and keep its password or recovery phrase. Uninstalling Ntly removes local notes.

The current APK uses Ntly’s private release signing key. If you installed an earlier development-signed APK, Android cannot update it with a differently signed release. Save an encrypted backup and keep its unlock method before uninstalling the earlier copy, then install this release and restore your backup.

The Android app is distributed directly, outside the Play Store. Moving to a future Play Store release may require reinstalling and restoring your backup. Keep the backup until you have checked that your notes and attachments open correctly.

Encryption and recovery

Save your 12-word recovery phrase separately from your backups. If you forget the password, choose Forgot password? on the unlock screen and enter your recovery phrase. If both are lost, support cannot recover your notes or encrypted backups.

Settings → Backup & restore saves an encrypted .ntly file including notes and attachments. Import / restore backup accepts that encrypted file. Enter the password or recovery phrase used when the backup was created, review its contents and choose how matching note IDs should be handled. Keep existing duplicates is the default; replacing matches requires confirmation. Validation failures leave existing notes intact.

Photos and files are limited to 10 MB each and 20 attachments per note. Backups support up to 10,000 notes, with up to 16 MB of note text and metadata. A single .ntly backup file can be up to 3.5 GB. Drive backups store attachments separately, so the total is subject to your provider’s storage allowance.

On supported mobile devices, you can enable Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock in Settings after confirming your Ntly password. Your password and recovery phrase remain available if biometric unlock is cancelled or unavailable. Ntly hides its content when you leave; Lock after leaving Ntly controls when it locks. Closing the app always ends the unlocked session.

Google Drive backups are manual and do not provide automatic sync. The iPhone and iPad apps also include a direct iCloud Drive connection. For providers offered by your system, you can also save or import a .ntly file through the file picker. Keep the backup’s unlock method when moving between devices.

Choose Connect Google Drive or, on iPhone and iPad, Connect iCloud Drive. Each connected provider has its own Back up to button. Choose Restore from a backup to open one list of versions from all connected drives, newest first, with the provider, date and size. Use Refresh to reload the list. A connected provider’s button changes to Disconnect.

If a Drive connection or upload fails, keep your original notes and save an encrypted backup file instead. A backup is complete only after the provider confirms the upload or you finish saving the file. Disconnecting Drive does not delete earlier backups. Deleting a note or removing an attachment in Ntly does not remove copies from your Drive, Photos, Files or shared destinations.

For offline web startup, first open Ntly online and check offline readiness in Settings. Updates offer a save-and-lock action before reloading. Storage eviction can still remove local data; an offline installation is not a backup.

Ghost

The connection to Ghost is being developed for a later update and is not part of the public release. You do not need Ghost to write, find or back up notes in Ntly.

If you use a development build with Ghost connected, you can turn off Share notes with Ghost in Ntly Settings or disconnect Ntly in Ghost. Saved results in Ghost are managed separately. See the privacy policy for what this optional connection shares.
